An automation rule fires on a trigger (like a new or updated contact), checks conditions to decide whether it applies, then runs one or more actions, such as enriching the record, writing data back, or sending a notification.

What a rule can do

• Enrich a matched contact with DealMachine property and owner data
• Write the enriched fields back to your connected tool
• Notify your team when something matches
• Only act when conditions are met (e.g. a specific lifecycle stage)

Budgets keep spend in check

Because enrichment uses credits, rules support budgets (caps on how many enrichments or credits run per day or week) and can pause automatically when a cap is hit. Duplicate triggers are ignored within a window so the same record is not processed repeatedly.
