To use Driving for Dollars in DealMachine, scout a neighborhood in the mobile app, confirm each property address, record visible condition details, and save properties you want to research as leads. The route view helps you see streets covered and properties tagged; owner details may not be available for every property.

How do I scout and save a property in DealMachine?

  1. Start a neighborhood drive. Open Driving for Dollars in the DealMachine mobile app and begin scouting the area you want to cover. Keep your attention on driving and stop safely before interacting with the app. The page shows route coverage and tagged-property examples; check your app for available drive controls.
  2. Choose a property and confirm its address. When you spot a property to research, select or photograph it in the app and confirm the displayed address matches the property. Check the address before saving so the lead is attached to the right record.
  3. Record the visible condition. Add relevant observations using the condition tags shown in the app, such as vacant, overgrown, boarded up, or mail piling up. These are observations, not proof of the owner’s circumstances or willingness to sell.
  4. Save the prospect. Save the property as a prospect or lead in the app. Review the address and notes later before deciding what research or follow-up to do.

How can I review the route I covered?

Use the route view to review streets covered, stops, distance, and properties tagged where those details are available. The Driving for Dollars page shows route coverage and tagged-property examples. Compare the covered area with your intended neighborhood before planning another drive.

What does a Driving for Dollars lookup cost?

Scouting, recording observations, and saving a property lead are separate from revealing chargeable owner details. Browsing and searching are free. Revealing owner phone numbers or emails uses one person credit per unique person; a person already unlocked in the current billing cycle is not charged again. Check your Billing Settings and current plan for your included allowance before requesting contact details.

Example: You tag two properties and save them as leads, then request phone or email details for two different owners. The saved leads do not reveal those contact details; if both owner records are chargeable and neither person was already unlocked this cycle, the requests use two person credits. If one person was already unlocked this cycle, that person's record is not charged again.

For more about credit use, see the data-credit guide; for plan details or to start, visit current plans.
